Update 2

 We continue to be humbled by your generosity and support to rebuild Nepal. Thank you for helping us raise $130,948 through our online campaign. We would like to offer our heartfelt gratitude to:

 

– Rijan Shrestha, Tseten Kansakar Shrestha and their network in  Dallas, Texas for raising $15,000 for Sahayeta’s earthquake relief efforts.

– Renae Maskey, a 9th grader student for organizing a fundrasier at Blaze Pizza in Fremont.

– Lisa Manandhar and Galileo Mauritius for providing Jasta Pata (corrugated zinc roof tops). The material were used to build 11 temporary housing in Phulping Dadha.

 

Our relief efforts this week has been as follows:

 

– Nisha Thapa, Sahayeta Executive Director, who is currently in Nepal, led mental health workshop for youth volunteers in Bhaktapur. Nisha will be partnering with organizations on the ground to create a mental health video and training manuals to train volunteers to prevent burnout and cure Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

– We supplied 40 breastfeeding mothers with  food, clothes, blankets and much needed essentials for the mothers and their babies.

– Nisha Thapa and Mohit Raj (360+) are back in Kathmandu after delivering building materials for 34 shelters to Badase, Sindhupalchok.

– We partnered with Youth Thinker Society to provide food for 135 households in Rampur and Benigau in Gorkha.

– The villagers from Phulping Dadha- vdc, Ward #8 built 11 shelters from the building materials (Tin Roofs) that were delivered by Sahayeta members and volunteers.
